Balboa Rye Berries (Certified Organic)

Balboa is an obscure heirloom rye variety that is great for milling and produces a dark, robust, spiced, earthy flavor unique to rye. It's a beautiful grain with notable color variations from light tan to dark brown. We obtained the seed from another farmer in Iowa whose family has been saving and planting Balboa rye on their farm since his great-great-grandfather planted his first crop over 100 years ago.
