Emmer

Emmer is an ancient grain, similar to einkorn, first domesticated in the fertile crescent and widely cultivated in Egypt and Mesopotamia. It has a nutty, rich and earthly flavor and is widely used in yeasted and sourdough breads, muffins, focaccia, risotto, and pastas. 

We are excited to grow Emmer during the 2026 season! Theres a lot that goes into growing these grains, and a lot can go wrong! But, hopefully, this grain will be available for purchase in the fall of 2026 after harvest and cleaning.
